A contemporary witness to climate change.
Made from local resources, the Beetlechair comfortably transports environmental consciousness into any home. In response to climate-related spruce dieback, the velvety soft Beetlechair presents the bluish tinted wood, long considered inferior, into an everyday seating furniture with ecological and economic value.

My work shows constructive approaches to how design can make meaningful and solution-oriented contributions to current crises. The Beetlewood Furniture as a chair is the first element of an expandable idea. In its basic features it is scalable, industrially producible and has the potential to grow into a complete product family consisting of chair, table, stool, side table and lounge chair.
